Regardless of whether you have a Windows 8 DVD you need to get on a flash drive, or Windows 8 ISO file with the same purpose, the following tutorial will help you get the Windows 8 installation files correctly copied to the flash drive so you can continue the installation process.
Note: The following procedures apply equally to Windows 8 (default) or Windows 8 Pro.

Time needed: Getting Windows 8 installation files to a flash drive or external USB devices will take between 20 and 30 minutes, depending on what format a copy of Windows 8 is now and how fast your computer is.
Requirements:
A flash drive is a minimum capacity of 4 gb
A Windows 8 Windows 8 DVD or ISO files
Access to a working computer with a DVD drive if you have a Windows 8 DVD, with Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows XP installed
Important: If you have Windows 8 ISO file and want that on a flash drive, start with Step 2. If you have a Windows 8 DVD and need that on a flash drive, starting with Step 1.
Here's How:
Creating ISO file of Windows 8 DVD. It is a procedure that you create a file, called an ISO image, which contains all the data stored on disk 8 Windows setup DVD.
Once you have created an ISO image of the Windows 8 disk you, come back here and continue with a tutorial that will explain how to get the ISO file to a flash drive.
Note: If you already know how to create an ISO file with your favorite programs, often called "ripping," then do it in whatever way you are used to it. However, if you've never created an ISO image, or do not have the program installed now do so, please see the tutorial linked above for detailed instructions to do so with the free program.
Download Windows 7 USB / DVD Download Tool from Microsoft and then install it.
This is a free program from Microsoft right format flash drive and then copy the contents of the Windows 8 ISO installation file you have that flash drive.
Note: Do not worry that the program has a Windows 7 in the title. This program works well with Windows 8 ISO file and can be installed on Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows XP.
Start Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool program. You should be able to find a shortcut on the Desktop, and the Start menu or on your Start screen, depending on the version of Windows you are installing the program on.
Click Browse in Step 1 of 4: Select the ISO file screen.
Locate, and then select, your Windows 8 ISO file. Then click or touch Open.
Note: If you download Windows 8 from Microsoft, check your Downloads folder or your Desktop to the ISO image. If you have made an ISO image of the Windows 8 DVD, ISO file will create it for you anywhere.
Click or tap Next.
Select the USB device in Step 2 of 4: Select the type of screen media.
Note: As you can see here, there is also a selection of DVDs. Although we did not do much good in this case, because the end game is to get Windows 8 setup file on a flash drive, you can also use this tool to burn Windows 8 ISO image to a DVD or BD disc.
In Step 3 of 4: Insert USB device screen, select from the drop-down flash drive or USB-connected external hard drive you want to put Windows 8 setup files to and then tap or click Start copying.
Tip: If you have not installed the USB storage device you plan to use, you can do that now and then tap or click the refresh button to make it appear blue in the list.
Click or touch the Erase USB device if you are prompted to do so on the window Insufficient free space. If you do not see this, do not worry, it just means that the flash drive or external hard disk is empty.
Important: If this message does not make it clear, you should know that whatever data you may have on this drive will be removed as part of the process of getting setup 8 Windows file copy.
In Step 4 of 4: Create a bootable USB device, just waiting for the Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool to prepare the drive and copy the installation files of Windows 8 for it.
The first status you will see Formatting, which will take anywhere from a few to several seconds, depending on how big the USB drive is that you are using. Next it will copy a file can take from 15 to 30 minutes, maybe longer, depending on the Windows 8 ISO file you are working from, as well as on how quickly your flash drive, USB connection, and a computer.
Tip: Do not worry if the indicator is the percentage jumps forward quickly but then sat in singles for a very long time. Although it may not make much sense to behave like that, it does not mean anything is wrong.
Assuming everything goes as planned, the next screen should say Bootable USB device successfully created with the status that says Backup completed.
Now you can close the Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool program window. Flash drive, or a USB external drive that you use, now have the necessary files on it to install Windows 8 and also configured to boot from.
Boot from USB device that you just created to start the installation process of Windows 8.
Tip: If Windows 8 setup process was not started, it is very likely that you will need to make changes to the boot order in the BIOS. See How to Change Boot Order in the BIOS if you need help doing that.
