It happened to me when opening application windows default start up with an error message that says "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the default programs control panel. "
So to overcome this I did the following actions:
1. Open notepad and type the following command:
"Start C: \ Windows \ System32 \ compmgmt.msc
Exit "without quotes
2. Save as the name CompMgmtLauncher.bat and do not forget the Save as type select All Files, save it to the C: \ Windows \ System32
3. Open regedit, once open select the Edit menu and select Find ... looking for CompMgmtLauncher.exe said it will meet in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ CLSID \ {20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D} \ shell \ Manage \ command
4. Find CompMgmtLauncher.exe ending value of change. Exe to. Bat then close regedit and restart the Computer Management will manage the open.
